Following a period of consultation, plans are about to be put forward for major development projects that will reshape York over the next two decades.  This meeting of the City Strategy Policy Forum is dedicated to discussing the detail of the York Central and Southern Gateway developments proposals.

Issues covered will include the progress and development of the site, the volume and mix of housing, the use as a Central Business District and related office space, the transport implications both local (such as Southern Gateway, and its local impact) and national (HS2/3).

The Labour Group is keen is consult with members before formulating what the Labour Party’s response to the proposals should be.

If you want to find out more about these proposals and to put forward your views on the potential benefits and possible dangers involved then please come along to this meeting.
