Local organisations are being reminded that cash is still available to support local community projects in Heworth ward.
Each ward holds a budget to support local projects and schemes prioritised by the ward’s councillors. Heworth Labour ward councillor Ruth Potter says:
“Time is running out to apply for local projects funding in the next round of allocations, with a deadline of 10th October. Up to £500 is available for those who can make a good case for funding that will either improve the physical environment or deliver projects that will make a difference to people’s lives in the ward.
“The ward has prioritised working towards a healthier environment, caring for people in our community and a safer, cleaner environment. Any applications that can help to deliver these priorities stand a good chance of being funded”.
