On our recent ward walkabout we were concerned to see graffiti on the increase, as seen here on the fence running along the path between Hurricane Way and Manor Lane/Village Street. Anti-social behaviour, including graffiti, is a serious issue for all residents and we are committed to tackling the problem head on. The Labour group have invested an extra £300,000 in the Council's enforcement team and we are working in partnership with the Police to have Neighbourhood Enforcement Officers patrolling city-wide from April onwards. Please help us to stamp-out anti-social behaviour by reporting incidences of graffiti, fly-tipping and dog fouling to the Labour team.

Following residents concerns about the condition of footpaths around the Clifton Moor centre, Linsay Cunningham and Neil McIlveen have been out checking on the progress with cutting back the vegetation along Clifton Moor Gate. In places bushes and other plants had grown onto the footpath and local residents had to walk on the cycle track next to the busy main road. We are glad to see that work has commenced on pruning the vegetation with one small section left to clear. We will be in contact with the property owners, or their agents, to ensure the work is completed soon.
