A crucial part of our campaigning is knocking on doors and talking to people. This is how we find out what local issues are concerning people and how they are likely to vote. We need to do this and not just wait for people to contact us.
A number of members have asked for some training to help them be more confident about doing this work. Therefore, we have arranged a training session open to all members at 7:30pm in room D/L/036, Derwent College, University of York Campus.
The first half of the session (from 7:30pm to around 8:30pm) will be about knocking on doors and talking to voters. This will be aimed at people who have never knocked on doors before, or who feel they might like a refresher.
The second half of the session (starting around 8:30pm) will be about running the board. This will be aimed at both experienced board-runners and people who would like to give it a go.
Space is limited to please RSVP if you are planning to come along.
